"But Dr. Bonnie Beaver, a professor of veterinary medicine at Texas A&M University and past president of the American Veterinary Medical Association, likened animal communicators to "fortune tellers," adding: "It's never been studied scientifically and so there are a lot of people who make claims that cannot be verified.""

Make sure you don’t accidentally swallow your cat’s saliva - can cause a uninary tract infection. I was stunned to learn this at my last vet visit.

We don’t need a dog whisperer at my house...my dogs listen to me just fine. In fact, they call me “Old Yeller” ; )

While I agree I cannot prove it and the entire Ellie May Clampet syndrome is only on TV; I have a 6 year old daughter that I do believe has some special ability to communicate with animals. She talks to the cat and tells us what he thinks or wants. You are welcome to call me on living in SF and in California with the fruits and nuts, but I see this regularly and cannot explain it and yet absolutely believe it.

So if you whisper to your cat (or all animals) it will talk back to you? You believe this?

i will believe this when they get a parrot or an animal who mimics speech, and uses telepathy to tell it what to say.

Does your human know that you are using his/her FR account? Let that be a lesson to you, Fido, swapping spit should be for members of the same species, opposite sex only!!

Phonies. It does not take a genius to figure out what a dog wants. And mine pickup new words so quickly that they are even learning to spell their favorite words, such as w-a-l-k and o-u-t and f-e-e-d.

One simple word will make my three dogs (45, 60 and 90 lbs) hit the storm door so hard they will almost take it off the hinges...
