Hey .... even our Governor got into the act. He made a statement congratulating the Bulldogs.
I think he called them the California Bulldogs. I guess to differentiate from the Georgia Bulldogs? Makes you wonder if he has never heard of Fresno State.
Oh.... Ahnolt!!:)
I just saw Steve Detwiler being interviewed on TV. What a cute kid!!
No, I don’t think the Guv knows from Fresno, let alone Fresno state.
LOL. The Governator makes me wonder about a lot of things. I actually think it is very possible that he has never heard of Fresno. According to Autry, Sacramento has pretty much turned a deaf ear to issues involving Fresno and the San Joaquin Valley for many years. Fresno? Where's that?
Anyway, back to our Bulldogs. I can't wait to see the celebration when they return. I wonder how much sleep any of them are going to get tonight. ;-)
That's exactly what I said - before I read what you said. LOL. Great minds....and all that. ;-)
I am off to bed. Nitey nite, you two.
You are such a good grandma, and I guess I am just plain ol' selfish, LOL.....I would not miss the celebration at Beiden Field. Marissa will learn to swim if she misses one swim lession....besides, this is history in the making. Marissa needs to be there, and so do you. I'd be there if I could.
Congrats to the FResno Bulldogs! Our paper has been featuring the third baseman with pix and commentary since he’s a product of Turlock.
One another totally unrelated note... We talked with our SIL and grandson via webcam tonight. They’ll be leaving Estonia on Friday, stopping in England to spend some time with the other grandparents/parents. They fly home on July 4th - London to Philly to SFO. Maybe they’ll get a birds-eye view of some fireworks as they cross the US Friday night. That would be KEWL.

Are there any perfect people alive today? Not in the opinion of Harvard University psychiatrist Jerome Groopman. In his engrossing book How Doctors Think, he expresses agreement with the profound insights found in the Bible. He writes, Everyone is flawed at some time, in thought or in deed, from Abraham to Moses to the Apostles.
But what about Jesus Christ? He challenged His listeners regarding Himself: Which of you convicts Me of sin? (John 8:46). The disciples verdict after they had opportunity to scrutinize His life for at least 3 years was that He was without sin (1 Peter 2:22; 1 John 3:5).
Was Jesus a moral miracle, the one sinless Person in the whole procession of sinful humans? Yes, He was the one spotless exception to this observation of the apostle Paul: All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Rom. 3:23). And that word all includes both you and me!
Because all humanity has sinned, we can rejoice that Jesus was qualifiedHe and He aloneto be the flawless Sacrifice we need.
We give thanks for Jesus Christ, our sinless sin-bearerthe one exception!
Car wash victims?! Now that has got to be funny!

The other day at work we were having cake and ice cream for the teenager who works with us—HS graduation and his 18th bday. We have a bunch of old loafers who drift in around 3:30ish pretty much every day—think old country store! Lisa served cake and ice cream all around, and then saw her hubby coming across the parking lot. She grabbed a stool, plunked it down amidst the loafers, and was sitting there chatting when hubby walked in. He took one look and shook his head, asked her didn’t she ever work?
I saw it coming and my face started turning red.
Lisa looked right at him and stated—Danny—I have just served all these men!
There was an instant of total silence, then uproarius laughter. Boss just shakes his head and says—all day. This is what I have to put up with all day.
Can you tell we’re kinda laid back?! LOL
Good thing Danny likes a practical joke as much as Lisa or he’d strangle her!
Perhaps the sign was made in China...
Wouldn’t surprise me!
Wonder why kids are always so afraid to get their hair cut? What primal fear does that spring from?! LOL Some deepseated human memory, like fear of snakes.
I’ve been reading posts this morning.
Your flower and hummingbird picture is so wonderful!
I found a beautiful hummingbird picture the other day but haven’t done anything with it yet, but I will down the road.
Have more stuff to do today but I plan to check in and out of Amy’s Place some.
Wonderful message this morning, Mr. Mayor, thank you so much!
Great story, Gardengirl!
A great possibility, PAL! And it could be a fake~~~LOL
Think those first haircuts are fear of the unknown....bet Mama was crying too, don’t you?
