Very unique, it reminds me of the Northern Lights in Canada but in the daylight.
I once saw three rainbows in one sitting and will probably never see anything again like that in my lifetime.
I’m not sure what a ‘ping list’ is however if it includes photos such as the ‘fogbow’ then yes, please add me, thank you.

When you ask to be on someone's "ping" list, you'll be alerted by him/her everytime a thread on the specialty subject you're interested in is posted by that freeper.

The word "ping" on the top of your FR pages will light up to inform you that you have an article or comment for you to read. Click on it and it'll lead you to what you want to read.

Whenever someone puts your screen name in the 'To:' field for a post, you get a 'ping.' Leni pointed out that the ping link in the uipper left of your screen will turn red if there are replies to your posts that you have not yet read. A ping list is a group of people who get an alert whenever certain threads or subjects are posted on Free Republic. There are quite a few of them on this board. Some of them get a lot of posts, for example, the lists for the presidential campaigners, military news, and the middle east get a lot of hits. Lots of other subjects do, too. Some subjects get very few threads, which is why the ping lists are so valuable - you might have missed the thread if no one brought it to your attention.

If you're on one of these ping lists, you might see a relevant article and send a reply to the person who runs the list, so that he or she can alert everyone on the list and they'll be sure to see the thread. You just type the person's screen name in the "To:" field and tell him about the article.

NASA puts a new picture on the Goddard Space Flight Center site every day. I try to post all of them, but some days I haven't got time, and sometimes I look at the picture and say, "So what?" :)
