Silvie,

I’d say your just about there with Rick Nielson. He is one of the best!

I got my son into Cheap Trick and he really digs them, though the wife is just hating life with he and I in the car.

Not to kill the all 80s buzz, but possibly one of my favorite guitarists is John Doyle, formerly of the Irish super group Solas. Plays lots of different stylings, speeds. Absolutely the fastest strummer that I have ever seen. I couldn’t find a lick of his on the web that would really do his live playing justice.

Hope all is well and that y’all had a great Memorial Day.

How’d ol’ Hilly do in PR?? ;0)

First off, Hillary is doing quite well in Puerto Rico and will be returning there this Friday through Sunday, which is the day of the primary. Bill and Chelsea have been on the island throughout this week.

Tell your wife & son that Cheap Trick will be at the Nissan Pavilion on 8/27, along with Heart and Journey!

Hope the folks on PR know to hide the women from Billy Jeff.

Nissan is pretty far out there for me. I’d guess Scranton, PA would be the nearest to me? I seriously doubt that I could do Journey and Heart anyway.

Nobody has ever been, or ever will be, as good a guitar player as one James Marshall Hendricks.

I’d go to Nissan Pavilion just to see Cheap Trick, but then again, with these gas prices, it’s just not viable for us to go and pay $45 per ticket and not watch the whole show. It’s a school night too (kids start school here on 8/25), so it’ll be really tough for me to go — whether by myself or with my hubby & son.

Prince (yes, I said Prince)

One of the most underrated around. Nice call.

I would also agree with Gilmour and SRV. Favorite for me also includes The Edge. All three have that guitar sound that you instantly recognize.

Prince ~ clearly if he’s not he best, he is number one overall among midget guitarists!

$ame here.

Actually, our kid really enjoy a dude named Ralph Covert, who travels by “Ralph’s World”. He’s really great.

Unfortunately, I just sailed over to his site:

http://www.ralphsworld.com/shows.htm

He is now “owned” by Disney and those little $12 and $15 small venues are now up to $36 for the summer pavillion tour!!

I’m so *over* summer concert venues.... the only exception would be Cheap Trick or the Go-Go’s....

You’re right about the distinctive sound, which is what I like about Brian May, too.

I hope to see Prince perform live some day.

I got my little girl, Birdy (6), into Jane Weidlin. She really loves her stuff.

Of course I've always had it bad for pixie-like Go-Go.

She's still holding up! Looking good, but unfortunately into the left, veganism and publiscizing her interest in fetish and S&M (all of which is fine, just not needing to be bragged about). Sade still loves me!!

“Jane just turned 50 last week!!!!!!”

Still smokin’ hot!

Hey, I just flirted with some lady at a party a couple weeks back and she’s talkin’ ‘bout her “little ones”, me thinkin’, this dame’s pretty hip and cute.

Only to find out she was talking about her grandkids!!

I entered an alternate reality of being old.

Noooooooooooooooooooooo!

Terry Kath

Thanks for remembering this great all around musician.

Not only did his guitar drive those awesome Chicago horns, he had one of the coolest blues/rock voices going.

Gone but not forgotten.
