You know, I've given it a lot of thought. Sometimes I think the guys aren't so much whistling at good looks as they are at things that confirm their own happy outlook. It was a gorgeous day, they were working outside with the wide-open skies over their heads, there was everything to be cheerful about. Nobody with sense could be morose on such a day; and maybe there was a bounce in my step or something. I'm not tall and willowy (those kinds of women can't hide their shapeliness!), I'm petite and believe me, I looked dumpy. But I didn't feel dumpy in my heart. Maybe those wonderful construction guys sensed that I was as delighted with the day and life-in-general as they were, and they were just whistling out of sheer "happy to be here, ain't life cool!" abandon. In any case, it sure made me feel like they thought I was nice looking and I couldn't fool them by trying to hide it! That's the way I like to THINK it went down!!!

As I am thinking back, there is truth to what you say…no whistling on non sunny days.

This is a WONDERFUL way to look at life, wolf-whistle, and just plain being happy!

Thanks for sharing your quick, insightful experience during this thread, and your attitude!
