As Shania Twain copes with her sudden split with the support of family and friends in her native Canada, sources close to the singer say she is reeling from a double betrayal not only by her husband of 14 years, music producer Robert "Mutt" Lange, but by a woman she considered a close friend.
Lange's relationship with Marie-Anne Thiébaud, 37, a longtime secretary and house manager at Twain and Lange's estate in Switzerland, was behind the breakup, say several sources familiar with the situation

Some people don’t understand that looks are only one aspect of a relationship.
My guy is nothing to look at - but I swoon.
Just because a woman is “beautiful” by society’s standards doesn’t mean that she is a perfect wife and guarantees a perfect marriage. Men cheat on “beautiful” women just as quickly as they cheat on the less fortunate in the looks department - and vice versa.
If I married a woman, beautiful or not, I would not cheat on her (assuming she doesn’t cheat).
I have talked with people who have done business with Shania Twain and I have been told that she is one of the nicest, most down to earth persons you would ever know in the entertainment business.
Well, considering he’s produced albums for Bryan Adams and Def Leppard, that “partier” rep might be close to the truth.
Oh I understand that, and its better if both are honest beforehand so they aren’t missmatched.
Just because a man has a beautiful wife doesn’t mean he’ll respect his marriage vows and keep his zipper up where other women are concerned. Some men won’t even do it when they have a perfect wife. A guy (or gal) who screws around on their spouse shouldn’t be expecting perfection anyway.
I think that’s pretty much what I said in my second sentence of my post. :~) We’re on the same page.
Shania always seemed like a whiny little snot. That type of attitude can ruin the looks of any women.
Some men are never satisfied.
It’s like Rodney Dangerfield once said,
“Marry a woman who can cook. The sex will wear off but you’ll always be hungry.”
