There's a lot to enjoy about this fourth installment of Indiana Jones. It's fun, silly, adventure-filled and completely entertaining in ways we don't always get from movies these days, with the greatest parts coming straight from the marvelous imagination of Steven Spielberg. Plus, it's a summertime blockbuster that doesn't totally rely on CGI which feels practically old-fashioned — and I mean that in the best way possible.

The innocence of youth, I love it.
Raiders of the Lost Ark was fantastic - it reinvented the genre of the Saturday morning thriller and inspired knockoffs itself (see: Romancing the Stone). But the two sequels were totally forgettable save for Sean Connery in the third.
We have no more drive-ins here. sigh So I did the next best thing, we set up a backyard theater. rofl This Saturday night we are showing National Treasure 2 on our 12 ft screen. It is such fun.
I suppose I could have suspended disbelief if they just hadn't had bugs for dinner. Got up. Walked out. Saw the end on DVD.
Were they planning a roller coaster ride while they were making the movie...

Us pre geezers call that nostalgia. If Kenny Rogers can still pretend to sing, I guess Harrison Ford can still "whip" his way around the temples.

19 years since the last Indiana Jones movie. Joe Morgenstern of the Wall Street Journal panned the movie in his Wednesday review. Joe's pretty good on the reviews.
Oh, one of Morgenstern's quotes was great. It went something like "Harrison Ford, in his advanced age, is no whipper-snapper as Indiana Jones." LOL.
Found the offical website and you can even download the soundtrack to the “Ironman” movie.
My daughter hated it. She said it was stupid and contrived and very lame. She also said there was to much obvious CGI.
Well, I hope that the rollercoaster was more exciting than that scene in the movie. I just wanted that scene to be over and for them to get on with it already. That happened a lot in Doom.
Thanks. I think I will. The trailors seemed to make Indy appear to be on the wrong side of the Cold War, which is where Hollywood is and has been.
I haven’t seen or read about it yet, but I’m expecting to see the first travel scene to begin with an in flight shot overlayed on a map with an animated line moving from destination to destination.
Wife and I will see Saturday.
My wife hates the actress constantly screaming “Indieee” in doom. Can loosen fillings.

Kate Capshaw (wife of Spielberg) turned me off in Temple of Doom. All she did was scream, which totally reminded me of Kim Basinger’s screaming Vicki Vale routine in Batman.
