It must be an aggressive tumor, as it didn’t show up when he had the scans for the blockage in his neck arteries last year.
While I disagree vehemently with Senator Kennedy’s politics, I will say that he is known for visiting the troops in the hospital, attending the funerals for those killed in Iraq and Afghanistan, and many small acts of kindness to people who are simply everyday folks.
He is quite wrong on abortion, but that is something for which he will have to answer to God. I think he is a tragic figure, one who late in life has realized he squandered his opportunities. I think that’s why he drinks.
Anyway, prayers for him and for his family.
An aggressive tumor... that is really, really a bad prognosis. I am hearing and reading about his acts of kindness. Yet, I cannot forget with that his act of cowardice in letting Mary Jo Kopechne drown.
No one is wholly good, nor wholly bad. We all need a Savior.
