Tax RAP Music to Feed the Poor

Al Gore likes to say that human caused global warming is an indisputable fact. And using the same way of thinking of an Al Gore, it’s just as rational for me to say that it’s an indisputable fact that RAP music kills more people than cigarettes.

I mean we can see from a random sampling of two decades prior to RAP music in a scientific assessment of two decades since RAP music the increase in killings which, of course, we must attribute to human caused RAP music, not to speak of the message of murder, cop killing, rape, drugs and crime that RAP music preaches and has contributed to human caused killings of fellow human beings in the decades subsequent. Today, the statistics simply cannot be denied, that with the decline of cigarette smoking that RAP music kills many more people than cigarettes. Yes cigarettes are dangerous, and if you also consider that RAP music encourages cigarette smoking and other drug use, RAP music is dangerous from the perspective of an Al Gore analysis of human caused misery.

Cigarettes are heavily taxed, but considering the indisputable fact that RAP music kills more people than cigarettes, shouldn’t there be consideration of establishing a sin tax on RAP music of perhaps 100% or more? The revenues collected could help feed the poor who suffer from the effects of human caused RAP music.

Now some would say, increasing taxes itself kills more people than cigarettes.

And if you take a random sampling of tax increases, I think the scientific evidence indicates that it is indisputable that human caused tax increases indeed does kill more people than cigarettes.

And so, one can argue, that taxing RAP music 100% or more would, in itself, cause many to be killed. And that is a valid point.

But, let’s take the perspective often volunteered by the Democratic Party of the United States.

Often the argument is made to tax the rich. Everyone assumes that they are not talking about themselves, that the rich are someone else.

Of course, you can tax all the money the rich possess and it still would not be enough to pay for the administration of our public school systems. By the next election, there would be a another bond measure of billions of dollars needed for our schools.

But, perhaps there is some legitimacy in this logic of taxing a select group of people.

For example, we now have concluded that taxation in itself kills more people than cigarettes.

So perhaps we should propose that, anyone who says we need to increase taxation, they themselves should be personally taxed 100% or more to help feed the poor who suffer from these type of people who always mismanage the taxpayers money.

Bingo – I think we have the answer. It’s those who mismanage the taxpayers money who are at fault for the deaths of so many.

So perhaps they should be the select group of people who should be taxed 100% or more if they propose an increase in taxes.

In other words, the politicians who propose to increase taxes, should themselves then be immediately taxed 100% or more for simply proposing to increase taxes.

After all, many politicians not only mismanage the taxpayers money, they mismanage their own lives.

Sin taxes may be controversial, and involve a lot of debate around privacy. Take alcoholics for example, who drink perhaps 1 bottle of Scotch or 1 bottle of Irish Whiskey every few days.

A general sin tax on all such alcohol consumption perhaps could be controversial.

But what if we tax a select group of people, like the Democrats often propose?

For example, politicians kill more people than cigarettes. Human caused political malfeasance is probably the greatest human catastrophe of all time.

So when we talk about a sin tax on alcohol consumption, perhaps we should really be talking about a 100% or more tax on any consumption of alcohol by politicians.

I think a scientific analysis of this question could indicate, that the consumption of alcohol by some individual politicians leads not only to their own death, strokes, and other human misery personally to their own lives, this consumption sets a bad example by public figures to the youth of our nation.

These type of despicable people should be taxed 100% or more.

In fact, a scientific analysis of the alcohol consumption of a known politician could indicate, that if such a sin tax applied to this person’s consumption of 1 bottle of Scotch and or 1 bottle of Irish Whiskey every other day, that the revenues collected over the persons 40 years of public service from this tax could have paid for the economic recovery of our current economy.

Thank you very much.

We should tax government stupidity too. Then we could pay off the debt.

I listen to hip hop from time to time. The songs are basically the same, misogynist type thing. The rapper and his “homies” go to the strip club, rap about the stripper on the pole dancing, rap about tossing cash at her, and rap about getting her back to the “crib” for the night (of course in more graphic detail). Unfortunately, I’ve seen many of these songs in the Top 40. I will say some of the songs have a good beat to them, but the lyrics are terrible.

While we’re at it, tax Lawrence Welk, Pat Boone and Marie Osmond’s music as well.

How many rappers have been shot before or after their rapping careers got underway? How many have died of gunshot wounds? What is the percapita of entertainers to die this way in the modern era?

Al Gore and his wife Tipper wanted to burn Heavy Metal records altogether. At least until he got nationally famous and could run for the presidency in 1988.

Tax rap music to feed the poor

Spoken like a true socialist. Do you realize that rappers are entrepreneurs who are making millions selling their product, even if you believe the product stinks?

I enjoy hip-hop music, especially from the golden era of the late 80s and early 90s.

That reminds me of the time one of my second graders told me his moma was a dancer. I thought she was with a professional dance troupe, so when I asked him, he said, “oh, she dance on a pole at a club on 8 Mile”. A SECOND grader, and he was dead serious.

Maybe he needs to sing a few lines from the off tilt country classic “Please Don’t Go Topless Mother”.

Mother dear, I know you must work
though the job you got is really not the answer
I’m so ashamed to be the only guy in my gang
whose mother is a topless Go-Go dancer

Oh, please don’t go topless, Mother.
I hate to be quite so blunt.
The kids all laugh but I don’t cry
You’re not the only one who’s putting up a front.

Oh, please don’t go topless, Mother
But I just can not tell a lie
You’re ruining your reputation
and I can give you two big reasons why.

Please don’t go topless, Mother
Even though it buys me clothes to wear
I’d rather wear old rags, Mother
You’ve got a burden you shouldn’t have to bear.

[talks] Oh, please don’t go topless, Mother.
Little friends won’t come to see me (but their
Daddy’s do)
I’ll shine shoes, I’ll collect pop bottles
anything to help out.
Then we’ll go off together and start over
with no shame for the people to talk about.

Oh, please don’t go topless, Mother.
I hate to be quite so blunt.
The kids all laugh but I don’t cry
You’re not the only one who’s putting up a front.
