Well, even if she didn’t win it would assure a McCain win which she needs for 2012.

Clinton runs as an independent than McCain is the next POTUS.

If she had money, she might, but she’s broke.

Hell hath no fury...and she is big-time scorned.

I hope she does it. She got railroaded by her party. Stick it to them.

I bet she would still win NY in a 3-way race. But McCain is going to be the next POTUS anyway, because Obama is a mess.

Let’s see. The Dems would have Senator Obama with two other Liberal Independents — Nader - Green Party and Senator Clinton as an Independent.

The Pubs would have Senator McCain and Bob Barr? What is Ron Paul going to do?

Wow, so many selections, so many possibilities.

She still has a chance to pull out the Dem nomination.

Neither candidate has attained the magic number, yet.

If neither has it going into the Convention, those delegates are only bound on the first round voting.

If she survives that with a deadlock, it would be open season on delegates for the 2nd round.

==

There was a slight chance that she could get Edwards to send his delegates to her. Apparently, per another thread today, she didn’t come up with the right price. Edwards is to announce his support of Obama.

That could be the final nail.

==

I doubt she runs as an independent, as that would require money and organization to get her on the ballots in the various states. With her campaign in debt some $20 million, it is doubtful she would finance the run herself.

She has been saying that if Obama wins she will be in the stands cheering him on and working for his election...
The idea of her running as an independent would pull he dems apart..the Hillary supporters will stay with her, the ones for Obama will stay there and McCain?
Now what do we do with a 3 way tie?

She could actually win if she ran to the right of McCain.

She could start by repudiating this vote and calling on the other Democrats in the race to do likewise.

Here are the Senators who voted against the Cornyn amendment , which would have established a permanent bar for gang members, terrorists, and other criminals looking to snag a shamnesty visa. Republicans underlined:

Never forget McCain not only pushed the amnesty bill, he refused to allow exclusions for the worst of the lot.

Hillary would need to have a valid reason for a third party run(so as to legitimatize siphoning off voters) which she has not established at this time; there is no big issue that separates her from her rival other than race/gender. And, with the MSM already declaring Obama the victor, she/it will be getting less face time to try to establish that one big issue of separation. The next few months should be very enjoyable to watch.

She could be McCain’s VP. Not much difference.

Hmmmm.... if she did this and could manage to win a state or two, she could actually guarantee the White House for either her or Obama.

All she has to do is win a state or two... the numbers could work out so that neither Obama, McCain or Hillary have 270 EVs, which would sent it to the House of Representatives.

If the make-up of the House seats stays similar to what it is today, the Donks will have a majority of the states to put her or Obama in the Oval Office.
