She could actually win if she ran to the right of McCain.

She could start by repudiating this vote and calling on the other Democrats in the race to do likewise.

Here are the Senators who voted against the Cornyn amendment , which would have established a permanent bar for gang members, terrorists, and other criminals looking to snag a shamnesty visa. Republicans underlined:

Never forget McCain not only pushed the amnesty bill, he refused to allow exclusions for the worst of the lot.

Hillary would need to have a valid reason for a third party run(so as to legitimatize siphoning off voters) which she has not established at this time; there is no big issue that separates her from her rival other than race/gender. And, with the MSM already declaring Obama the victor, she/it will be getting less face time to try to establish that one big issue of separation. The next few months should be very enjoyable to watch.

Clinton runs as an independent than McCain is the next POTUS.

Perhaps, but not by any large margin. I don't see McCain as a large vote getter, and I can easily imagine a very close three way split.

McCain 42% Osama 39% Hillary 19%

If Clinton did run as an independent, her number might be higher. Right now, the combined total population of the states Clinton has won is 178.2 million compared to Obama at 108.7 million.

She could be McCain’s VP. Not much difference.

Hmmmm.... if she did this and could manage to win a state or two, she could actually guarantee the White House for either her or Obama.

All she has to do is win a state or two... the numbers could work out so that neither Obama, McCain or Hillary have 270 EVs, which would sent it to the House of Representatives.

If the make-up of the House seats stays similar to what it is today, the Donks will have a majority of the states to put her or Obama in the Oval Office.

If she didn’t get the nomination this time around it is over for her. No one is going to want to spend another 100 million on her run, especially after they saw her dismal performance this time around.

She has been saying that if Obama wins she will be in the stands cheering him on and working for his election...

I think that Hillary will give every public indication that she is fully supporting Obama while doing everything she can behind-the-scenes to undermine his campaign.

I agree...and those who are thinking that Hillary can dictate to Obama, should he walk away with the nomination, that she be the VP on the ticket is just too far fetched. I would not want her in the WH with Bill the former PRes...on my turf.. The only thing I would suspect BO would do is put a white person on the ticket to try to apease the white voters...but whoever it is will have to pass the Michelle test.

How's she supposed to run when she's broke and in debt?

Well, even if she didn’t win it would assure a McCain win which she needs for 2012

Pipe dreams. If she ran as an indy now she would be finished for good in the 'rat paryt. 2012 would not even be a possibility for her. That wold be like Pat Buchanan trying for the GOP nomination after running on the Reform Party ticket with a marxist VP sidekick.

Hillary to the rescue?

Are you suggesting that D Party insiders, knowing they are ‘stuck’ w/BHO as their “McGovern II” nominee, would just submit and nominate BHO, then purposely tank him; and stand down, giving Hillary the green light to go on ahead and run as an Independent?

Devious! ...and very Clintonian!
