It seems this race is what the owners have given up to the drivers so they can make some real cash for themselves.Kevin Harvick's comments last night on his winning a million: "Richard took 60% off the top to put back into the team, wife took 39%, and I got 1%".
He probably did get to pay the taxes on the whole thing. :)

That was never the intent of this race. I am in shock that this could happen. I guess it depends upon individual contracts.
When they first started this all star stuff they wanted to make sure that the most popular drivers would race. But new contracts and time has made this thing a joke if what Harvic said is true.
