Barack Obama wants to be president of these 57 United States

"It is wonderful to be back in Oregon," Obama said. "Over the last 15 months, we’ve traveled to every corner of the United States. I’ve now been in 57 states? I think one left to go. Alaska and Hawaii, I was not allowed to go to even though I really wanted to visit, but my staff would not justify it."

Right. He said 57 chromosomes. That’s kinda funny, but even so, this 57 state thing is so dumb. I do not believe he is unaware of the number of states. He said 57 but meant 47. I detest Obama, but this is just beyond silly. It’s pathetic.

If Quayle had said this............. it would be the top story in the news and America.”

And y'all would be saying what I'm saying, that he meant to say 47 but misspoke. None of you would be suggesting Quayle doesn't know how many states there are. Which only proves that you all are acting as moronically as you suspect the MSM would under similar circumstances. Congrats.

Just an excuse for some of us to have a little chuckle. Unfortunately I believe that’s necessary because Obama scares the living crud out of me. Speaking for myself, I need a lighter moment occasionally.

That's fair enough, I guess. It comes across differently, though. Comes across like typical petty bs politics. But whatever. I'm not scared of Obama. Not even if he wins.

On the one hand, I really prefer McCain to Obama. The SCOTUS picks alone are reason to pick McCain. On the other hand, if we get a black president, maybe we can finally tell the race baiters to go suck eggs. And the nation will get more than its fill of left wing lunacy.

Even so, for the sake of the troops, I'd much prefer McCain.

I have to agree with you on those points. I don't like anything about this election really, but I have to agree.

I don't know why anybody's shocked by this.

He attended church for 20 years and never heard a word "Reverend" Wright said.

Looks like he attended school for 20 years and never heard a word his teachers said, either.

The key this year is to just try not to take it so hard. It's politics. In some sense, we're lucky it's not worse. Look around the globe. If the worst we have to deal with is President McCain, I think I'll sleep OK at night.

I thought maybe he was joking until I watched the video. I don’t think he was. He thinks there are 58 states.

If you listen closely and count, he thinks there are 60 states.

Remember he said he visited 57 states and had to visit one more. (58 then he said he couldn't visit Alaska and Hawaii, because his staff would not let him.

Watch and listen again

The SCOTUS appointment is what bringing me towards McCain. I just hope the state Republican parties (The 50 of them we do have Obama!) will give voters conservative candidates.

Maybe being a NJ resident makes me more practiced at accepting bad political outcomes. Even so, I have to say I am very lucky to have Scott Garrett as my congressman. He once again received a perfect 100 score from ACU. He’s a local guy, grew up right here in the town where I live, went to school here. He’s a part of Mike Pence’s group of conservative congressmen. He’s a good egg. So I’m happy for that.

SCOTUS is huge. The justices serve for life, and their decisions become etched in stone after a while. It’s way bigger than 4 years of DC bs. It’s not a lock with McCain, but at least there’s reason to hope, whereas with Obama it’d be a disaster. McCain did vote yes for Roberts and Alito.

‘If GWB had said this it would be breaking/leading news 24/7..’

exactly. NYSlimes headlines......

Remeber when duoing the 2000 Presidental election GWB did't know the name of the President of Pakistan and how the LSM and the left made fun of him? But Obama thinking there are 60 states is ok
