FORT WORTH, Texas -- Police said a man who tried to rob a donut store was shot and killed by a man who lives near the store Friday morning. The robber broke into the store in the 100 block of Roberts Cut Off Road in West Fort Worth and terrorized the woman who was working there, police said. Police said the woman, Angel Randle, ran out the back door screaming for help.
The neighbor heard the pleas, grabbed his shotgun and then fatally shot the robber, police said. This is the second time this month shes been robbed, witness Raymon Farrell said. And, God bless her soul, shes still alive. A River Oaks officer was passing by the scene and witnessed the shooting. Investigators said they questioned the neighbor, but dont expect to arrest him.
According to the news she went back to work ......do you think the cops got any donuts
oops did not mean to put the question mark after my first statement......
“Would you like a Latte or a Cappucchino with that donut, Sir?”
I’ve been saying for a long time that we are moving to the suburbs and losing our sense of community!
I like it that the robber got aced on Roberts Cut Off Road.
You can’t make up this stuff.
Was his name Robert? That would make it perfect.
I wonder if it had been the same robber on the last robbery. If so, he won’t do it a third time.
Not only won't he get charged, he'll probably get a commendation.
Somehow, this makes my morning cup of coffee more enjoyable. I think I’ll go get a donut and eat the ‘”hole” thing..
"A River Oaks officer was passing by the scene ..."
"passing by"...sure, ok, if the article says so - two incompatible phrases in my opinion.
Not a smart move on the part of the robber ... donut shops are the second most highly guarded places, after Fort Knox.
It won't matter ... the word gets around among thieves, who will select easier targets.
If this happened in any other state, he’d probably be charged since it wasn’t actually his property.
There is a common law principle for the defense of yourself OR OTHERS in imminent danger or harm.
The woman called for help.
With proper representation it will not even come to a grand jury in many places despite the best attempts of wacko Prosecutors.
Best regards,
You should eat the part around the hole. It's the best part.
Good. The dems don’t want us to be able to do this. Damn the dems.
It happened at 2:30 in the morning, the shop was not open.
It doesn't matter that it wasn't open. You have to trust me, I know this for a fact. Cops freqently stop and check on the status of early morning bakers. Bakers are one of the few people around after the bars close. Donut shop bakers also have access to a very fresh, precious item, as well as hot coffee.
Any other Freepers have personal knowledge/experience that can back me up on this?
