The current "Top Headline Poll" on this page is being skewed by anti-Christian bigot PZ Myers and his Pzombies:
"Should local governmental bodies be allowed to open their meetings with a prayer?"
Please help!
The continental congress started with a prayer, but today 91% essentially think that was wrong. Sad.
Which prayer?
Hindu? Jewish? Islamic? Pagan? Catholic? Christian? Eastern Orthodox?
Or a meaningless waterer-down ecumenical prayer?
the first amendment gives you the right to say what ever you want
it is not to protect an aetheist from being offended by hearing a prayer or seeing a cross.
ACLU moonbat crap...
It’s a democracy, so whatever prayer they choose.
No. That’s the result of the poll being skewed from PZ Myers’ blog. Non-skewable polls show that Americans overwhelmingly support prayer in starting government meetings.
Ah good, I wasn’t aware who PZ myers was.
Your opinion might be meaningful if you read the First Amendment. The Bill of Rights does not create or give us any rights but prohibits the government interfering with the innate rights of man.
Did my part but it’s 92% against.
(Should local governmental bodies be allowed to open their meetings with a prayer?)
A better question is ‘Should the federal government have the authority to stop it?’.
92% no,
8% Yes.
At least I tried :-/
you’re opinion might be more valuable if you werent so nit picky, so I should have said it protects your right to say whatever you want, you know what I meant.
It’s 93% to 7% now. That IS sad.
FREEP THIS POLL ***PING!*** FRmail me if you want to be added or removed from the Fearless Poll-Freeping Freepers Ping list. And be sure to ping me to any polls that need Freepin', if I miss them. (looks like a medium volume list) (gordongekko909, founder of the pinglist, stays on the list until his ghost signs up for the list)
Done...
not good...
YES
6%
NO
94%
There are obviously many people voting multiple times.
That's a good thing, it keeps the constitutionally illiterate out of the courts.
*smirk*
