Daddy Bush? Are you some kind of frickin’ DUmmie troll zotbait?
Your slide began with the first tippy-tap on your mommy’s laptop.
I hope a moose bites your sister, Dr. Dean.

The GOP is now two parties which can no longer co-exist as one. The Reagan or Conservative GOP and the Rockefeller/Ford/Bush Liberal GOP. Conservatism won the elections that counted. It gave Reagan two solid wins and the GOP both houses. Poppy Bush was likely the worst decision Reagan made. The Bush political beliefs are 180 from from Reagan. Poppy wasted not a moment in beginning the DEMS work such as military downsizing.
The GOP House and Senate wins on Conservatism could have been a real change in direction in this nation. But poor leadership was chosen and the Rockefeller's took control of the GOP very shortly after the new majority was sworn in. All the GOP would have had to have done was followed the Reagan Doctrines on most issues. The GOP became it's own worse enemy with ones such as Trent Lott, Specter, Hatch, Frist, McCain, Jeffords, Chaffee, etc in the senate and Newt's zippergate resignation didn't help matters either.
Following Newt's resignation the GOP became totatly obsessed with winning election rather than winning needed legislation battles and making needed changes in the course of the nation. Because of such issues Bill Clinton had things pretty much his way and Teddy K was the functional Senate Marjory Leader and still is today.
A person would have thought there was real hope with a GOP two house majority and a GOP POTUS. But by media influence the Conservatives running in 2000 who could have changed the course and brought congress back into order were labeled unelectable by the media and RNC which was Rockefeller GOP controlled.
Junior became POTUS and is every bit as bad as his dear old dad a true Rockefeller Globalist Republican. Bush Junior's Legacy will be the Republican who had a two house majority and wasted it on The Great Society Part 2 programs and insane USA second Friends first trade policies. He will be known as the GOP POTUS who gave away the sovereignty of our nation in the name of so called Free Trade and shredded the Constitution of the United States for a Globalist North America Union Agenda.
Bush has been the DEM's best dream come true {A Republican doing their work for them} and the GOP Conservatives worse nightmare so it will be also with McCain.

I heard that the deal was that Reagan had to accept Bush as his running mate or the CFR would not back his candidacy. Implicit in this deal was the idea that the CFR was powerful enough to make or break Reagan. Im not so sure. Do all the rich people keep their checkbooks shut just because the CFR tells them to I think Reagan could have won as big as he did without Poppy. Was he pressured to make Poppy his VP? It's pretty obvious as they were political opposites and the Bush's don't like Reagan policy.
A Conservative grassroots movement born in the late 1970's that actually crossed party lines got Reagan in office twice. That carried far more clout at that point in time than the CFR. Odd isn't it though? One of the founders of that movement is considered a whackjob by many Republicans calling themselves Conservative. I'm talking about Howard Phillips. Without Phillips, Paul Weyrich, Falwell {a Dem at the time} Ed McTeer, and many others they got involved in it, the beginning of the Conservative Revolution which got Reagan in office and later paved the way for GOP house and senate majority may have never happened.

LOL The devil has many faces for us to choose from. Some disgusting and some not so appealing. But it's still the devils face none the less. They call one the lesser of the two evils. So who would a person vote for? Satan or Lucifer? I'm not giving any canidate these actual names but rather using the names as an example. The point of my post? Just this. Don't vote for evil not even the lesser of it and then not expect to pay hell for it later.

Conservatism won the elections that counted. It gave Reagan two solid wins and the GOP both houses.Actually, Reagan's two solid wins were accomplished by a coalition of GOP conservatives, neocons, and Reagan Democrats.
There is no "conservative" figure in politics today who has a chance with either neocons or Reagan Dems. In fact, Reagan Dems are so repelled by present conservative leadership that they are flocking to the polls for HRC.
Conservatives are AT MOST 30% of the electorate, probably more like 25%. A winning strategy has to focus on rebuilding the Reagan coalition, not on trimming it down to the 25% pure essence.

It's the CONGRESS ya better be worrying about. The media is playing the McCain, Obama, Hillary hype to the max. In the mean time the only branch of government that can straighten this mess out ever again is ignored. Some sleeping Republicans Congressmen and Senators are gonna be looking for private sector employment come next January. Thanks to the Stupid Party {The GOP} who has allowed the vast expansion of Executive Branch Powers because their man was in the oval office we will be facing a Constitutional Crisis that made Slick Willies years look like a picnic. I say this no matter which of the three wins POTUS. McCain is as power crazy as the other two. He will split the GOP in half for another eight more years. In the mean time the DEMs will face ZERO opposition from GOP leadership except a handful the n\media and Rockefeller Republicans like to call fringe kooks.
With a congress in check you could put The Devil himself in the Oval Office and his powers be held in check. Without it voting for lesser of evils is Russian Roulette for our nation and someone forgot to remove a bullet from the gun.

Conservatives are AT MOST 30% of the electorate, probably more like 25%. A winning strategy has to focus on rebuilding the Reagan coalition, not on trimming it down to the 25% pure essence. I think the number is significantly higher and in both parties. However to reach that number a suitable choice must be offered. I do agree with you on that. The problem is the ones most knowledgeable are quickly labeled unelectable by the media. For example Hunter is a congressman and they can't win POTUS. Yea and first GOP POTUS was a senator or governor from what state?
Not all DEMS are Liberals but they aren't gonna cross the line to vote for GOP moderates or liberals either. If Hillary wins the Dem nod you can look for her to comfortably run to McCain's right. In doing so she'll likely win. Willie did just that twice and won while the GOP played a Big Top Circus Tent Freak Show {1996}. Many Conservatives in all parties either stayed home or voted third party.

BTW Rush is playing a very stupid and dangerous game wanting Republicans to vote in the DEM primary. Part of the problem facing this nation today is a handful of persons pulling strings to manipulate elections especially primaries. To encourage such Anarchy in any parties primary makes a mockery of our electorial process. People are losing faith in that process as it is and these antics do nothing to restore voter confidence in anyones party.

Well, I firmly believe that if you spill pink grapefruit juice on one of those foam-rubber #1 fingers that you can buy at ballparks, it means that your bicycle spokes are probably not properly aligned. LOL
You can realign the spokes by mixing a bottle of Pepto Bismol in a jar of toenails:

Hey, I'm not sure what I did wrong guys, like I said, it was my first post. That being said, I apologize to those whom I might have inadvertently offended.
I am definitely no college student (graduated w/ an MBA in ‘82, thank you very much), and I'm not using my mother's computer either. I also have no affiliation whatsoever with DUmmys, socialists, demoncRATS, or any of the other misfits who call themselves “liberal”. I disdain both Obama and the Hildebeast, but probably Obama scares me more because I think he can do more damage.
Anyway, sorry for my question. I didn't realize there was a hazing period on FR. Sheesh.
