Urgh! Doctors.
Urgh, indeed. Cain't deal with em; cain't kill em!
I just got done last night with 5 days of 2 a day injections of Lovenox, a blood thinner (enoxiparin sodium). I was hoping I'd be done with it since those suckers are $70 a pop! But I went yesterday afternoon for the blood test, and the doc called today and wants me to continue the shots until my INR is in the correct range, and he also increased the coumadin by 1mg. I talked to the Cardiologist today,and he said that I could continue them through Sunday evening, then we'll see what the next blood test on Monday shows. I'm hoping I can stop having them then!
I'll have to find someone else to give them to me over the weekend, cause my neighbor is going out of town. I have a friend, who is also the Parish nurse, and I'm sure she'd be glad to do it. I'll have John drive me to her house each morning and evening. My friend felt bad because the first two shots left some bruises which have expanded and are quite colorful, at this point. She got it right after those two. ;o)
