SirKit’s laptop died yesterday. He and Joseph are going to do surgery on it this evening. We’ve been out digging the area and setting up the forms for the next concrete pour, which will be tomorrow. Looks like partly cloudy all day, so at least we won’t have to fool with working in bright sunshine, though it will still be warmish, up into the mid-70’s.

We just watched the landing of the Phoenix Mars Lander live! It was cool watching the folks at JPL so excited as it was heading down. One of the funniest comments was made in a recorded interview with the Mission Director, Peter Smith, who, when asked what would happen if one of the 12 rocket thrusters which are supposed to slow the craft's descent were to fail, said "It would continue with the other 11 thrusters all the way to the crash site."
He was elated, along with the others, when it landed safely.
