Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
I’ve been watching the hurricane coverage...been wondering if Ike will clear the Katrina refugees out of Houston.
I’m a bad person.
Well, the board’s been particulary quiet today. Humidity is dropping, down to just eighty odd percent. Luckily the temps have been quite moderate. Seems like it’s trying to rain, periodically we get a few drops, likely the air reached saturation point somewhere and hence the few droplets.
Gypsygirl got a walk around the new/old park. The blacktopped hiking/biking trail now makes a big loop, plenty of new scents and she was a busy girl, checking them all out. The walk continued, stopping at the store for some milk and fixins for breakfast tomorrow.
Loaded up another two boxes of .38s and laid in some more primers and powder. Happiness can be warm puppy, it can also be a full powder magazine.
So, the director called today...
Stay strong...
There’s no business like show business...
Somehow watching a Gamera movie without Joel and the bots just isn’t the same.
and he said?!?!
Oh, did I leave something out?
Here's the deal...I think I mentioned that there's been a trend of veteran cast members opting out this year. I didn't do the show when we did this storyline five years ago. But several who did said they would play certain roles again, but did not want to weave through the whole show in multiple parts. So, one of my best friends is reprising his role as Herod, but not as Father Christmas in an earlier scene. It's a five minute scene, with Not Valerie and that's it. Time wise rehearsals are limited up until the week before the show. And I'll still be able to leave as planned when Luke is done with the kid's portion.
So, there's that...
Bottom line is, this is what I ~do~. The whole family is doing it. All my friends at church are doing it. But this is a very limited part.
And I have to say...it's a pretty big ego trip when someone calls and says "we need you for this role."...I'm just sayin'...
If I live to regret this, I'll be here for your abuse.
So it’s on, on with the show!
Sigh.
Oh well.
Break a leg.
That’s been done already...
The show must go on! :-)
So in other newz...
Mrs. told me the other day Sam was out in the backyard. The nayber’s 13(ish) year old son was out with their (relatively) new puppy standing at their fence. We’ve been trying to get Sam and “Honey” introduced. Sam went over and greeted them by walking up to the fence turning around and peeing on the fence.
And you were ~so~ close...
LOL!
Well, that's a fine how-de-do.
Gamera is a friend to all children.
This time he trashed Tokyo and Kyoto in the same movie. Wonder what the insurance rate is in Japan.
