The Hobbit Hole XXXVI - O! Water cold we may pour at need...

Posted on 05/03/2008 8:48:06 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Yeah, it’s a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Laredo. 4wd and fully loaded, in excellent condition.

yep...among other things you can feed him.

Of course, make sure it has “live yogurt cultures.”

Our vet recommends equal portions boiled hamburger(to get the fat out) and white rice as a remedy for doggy diarrhea, that’s because he knows I won’t “fast” ‘em. Canned pumpkin also works well as a binder, and dogs love it. LSA

Sam’s fasting on his own. As far as I can tell he’s not eaten anything since he got home. Not even his Milkbone.

But I’m sending Jr. to the store for some lean hamburger and I’ll give him that with the rice.

Do you just give them the pumpkin straight from the can?

I tried yogurt with Miss Cat once but she was “off her feed” and wouldn’t eat it.

Las weekend I was making window screens. This weekend I should have been putting Energy Film up in thesunroom.

Here's the website for ordering the converter boxes. They make it very quick and easy for you to order them, and they even tell you when you can expect them in the mail. LSA

You can give him anything. Whether it will be good for him, that I can't say.

Seems good advice here... I’m not sure I know any better! Hope he feels better soon.... that would get old in a hurry.

Well, considering with out the converter box or cable/dish option, come february the TV won’t work, it’s worth the 20 bucks to see if there will be anything on. I’m hoping our existing rabbit ears will work out, the funny thing with digital tv is that either the channel comes in perfect or not at all. If it has snow now, the digital won’t pick it up. So, we’ll just see what comes in. A friend at work has his converter box in and he can’t get channel 9, abc, so he will probably need to get a better antena to pull it in. The rest of the channels come in great. Time will tell how it’s going to shake out.
