Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Maybe we can sell it as scrap? By the pound?
Just got the email...disaster relief “mud-out” teams are organizing from Oklahoma to arrive in the midwest in July. Got a phone number to call.
ain’t no spam-shine when she’s gone...
There's a guy who wants the yellow kitty and one other one, but there's a lady on the horse forum who might be interested in the yellow one, so I'm waiting for her to get back to me.
How’s Mama and Sister?
I think they’re fine.... I saw them both the other day. :~)
Well... Just an hour or so ago my major stressor finally finished up.
For the last couple of weeks we’ve been negotiating with Msoft about a new “Enterprise Agreement” for Office 2007 and some other products. .
Its about the closest thing to Hell I ever hope to see. ‘Speciallly when they blackmail you with a software audit if you don’t sign within three weeks or else the Marshalls kick in the door.
Nice.
The bastidges.
But finally tonight we were able to come up with an agreement that my CFO and CEO have signed off on.
It is finished.
Yeesh.
Congratulations. :~)
So... who won? :~)
I think I will be saying goodbye to Butters and the striped Tabby this evening.... The man and his wife are coming back to get them. :~)
Someone from the horse forum will take one of the others in July, that leaves just one that we’ll either keep or guilt Rosie into taking. :~)
Glad you’ve found some good homes for the little guys.
Gidget needs a kitteh of her own.
We’re trying to figure out what to do with Abby while we’re at the beach. She’s not moving around, even though we dont’ have her in the crate. So she might be okay if someone came in and checked on her once or twice a day. But they’d also have to give her the meds, which is not easy.
We’ve considered thevet, or considered taking her to a friend’s house. But I’m not sure either of those are what she needs. Sister Mary Hamburner said they’d be willing to keep her in NC, but that doesn’t make sense either.
Have you got someone who can come in and give meds? What are they, pills?
The vet would be the surest thing.
Actually, Their cuteness is starting to wear off a little with Gidget. Their little teeth and claws are starting to hurt when they grab tails and bite toes, so she's actually snapped at them a couple times. Not hard, She's still careful, but I try to keep them from testing her boundaries. A little's not bad... it's good for them to learn a little caution where dogs are concerned.
Yeah, pills. And we don’t have a decent pill shooter.
Nobody wins these things. It's a mutual assured destruction sort of ending. The only way to win, is not to play. :-) But we did end up with a better discount than I thought we'd get. Fiscal year-end for the lazy-M ranch in Redmond is 6/30. They're not making their numbers, so this time of year they get very hungry to close deals. This year maybe more than usual since the Vista launch has gone so badly.
I’m pinging you guys to this because I think maybe you might be the only two people vaguely interested...heh!!
We’ve just so far had the best summer. Choir trip with Matthew was the biggest adventure any of us has ever been on and now we’re settled down for a nice relaxing rest of the summer just hanging out around the house. So, I put the entire Star Trek Next Generation series on my netflix and we all pile up in the evening and watch it together.
It’s just so peaceful and fun and relaxing. Good quality family time, instead of the kids in their room playing video games and us in the living room watching “House”, which they’re not interested in.
I just feel like so far this is the best summer ever!
Have you seen any of Sister’s little kittens?
