...Nope, were just Moms and Pops , vets and 4Frs, Ditto! I support our troops. I've kissed little kittens. Sorry, I took the wrong turn.
Yes, I will be watching, and wondering. why you don't rename your thread. It needs a special tag, that says:

I wish we were the elite. lol (Nascar should pay US to watch.)
When you lose your sense of humor, that’s when you’ll know when you’ve made it to the top.
I could care less if someone else wanted to post a diffenent race thread here at FR, anyone within reason can do so and have once in awhile. of course , some would say why, or it’s a waste of bandwidth or whatever.
Maybe we need the competition if that’s what it is all about for some.
A Gen X or Gen Y or Z thread, maybe. We’re already seeing the sprint cup turn into a WWE production in many ways, but that’s business and that’s racing these days.
I was ready to toss the racing to the curb when the CoT emerged, still thing it’s a flying tank, a lot of the fun old-time racing has been lost and I’m not referring to just the fisticuffs and bump crashing that used to go on,, mind you ;-)

I wish we were the elite. lol (Nascar should pay US to watch.)I am nothing, myself. I am fortunate to own my own business. I have a dog. I drive a Ford pickup. I have a Ford V-10 in my RV. The business owns it. I occasionally take friends to races.
Do you have any idea what it costs for a weekend, with an RV? With gas at $4.00, I will confine myself within 300 miles. I go to 4-5 race weekends, each year. After hearing a description about the new seats at RIR, I will sit up there in the fall. I also go to Delaware, and Martinsville.
I have been on the first turn, bottom front at Charlotte, and came away with more rubber on me, and my kids, than Million Dollar Bill had left on his car. The noise was deafening, but the view was awesome. Picture them coming right at you and turning away at the last seconds. Some of the cameras give that view, but you gotta feel it!
Life is short. I am sorry if I am offended. I still think Junior is a spoiled brat...neener, neener! But, it's obvious he is beloved here. WCG, sorry. I will try to play nice... but you were saying certain things about something that didn't happen! You were given an alternative view, with graphics to illustrate my points. I didn't mean it as a slam, and hope you won't feel harshly toward me. You were whining. It was all in fun, and I will try to do better...
This Buds for you!

You grovel real goood.. OK, climb in the back of the pickem-up. The dog can sit up front. ;-)
Yur not retired yet?
A lot of folks here are.
We got quite a few race frequenters as well and get track reports and such from time to time.
I’ve never been to a Nascar race, I’ve watched it since the 70s on and off. usually when bowling wasn’t on way back when. you want to talk about a clique.

The cruise ship we were on had a Pit Stop bar, had some oldm uniforms in display cases, god, that old Tide suit is an ugly thing. You couldn’t pay me to wear it.
I dread growing a goatee, for fear all the gray likely to emerge.
Ahh, nothing like being young and cocky.

Where'd you go? I love cruising and go 4-6 weeks a year. It is my preferred pampering, and I take longer voyages. 7 days isn't enough. Plus, the cost is not much more for 2 weekers. I am thinking of doing a transatlantic in the fall. Fly to Italy, enjoy the harvest kitchens, and cruise 16-17 days back, via the Med. Celebrity, MSC, or NCL do good. I stay away from Carnival.
I'm a young 60, so I get away whenever i can. Dog sits up front anyways. I just can't keep his head in the window! Have a good day. I have things that must get done!

Panama Canal 14-day this trip, haven’t done the trans-oceanics, hope to do the Med sometime in the next few years if we’re still around as a civilization.
Heading back to Alaska next year for the 5th or 6th time.
Later.

No, I'm not trying to give Bo any ideas. ;-)
