A while back I read that whalers reported that some sperm whales bore sucker marks that were as big as dinner plates. Scientists extrapolated the length but I forgot how big their estimate was. In any event, I wouldn't want to be in the water when one of those things got near the surface (think chunks of bread in a goldfish pond).
