If they are smart they flip a few picks into next year. In three years they are back on top.

I think the Tuna wanted to but no one was willing to move up.

Matt Ryan is fortunate the competition at his position this draft is considered to be pretty weak (of course we now how perfect the draft experts are dont we? /s).
You mean like they were with Tom Brady? ;O)

I am reminded of an episode of the HBO show Arliss when a kid coming out of college screws over some of his agents and they spread a disinformation campaign to make him fall down the boards. When the agent who got him agrees to kick back some coin they got Holmgren to take him at #7.
Good episode.

That's a possibility but doesn't sound like it if they are looking to start so many rookies.

Having seen Ryan enough I will say that he’s not going to be an elite QB. Anyone who picks him early in the 1st Round is flushing big cash down the toilet.

He’s going to be the “great player found late in the draft” standard bearer for many years to come.

These guys are treated like stocks. Any bad info can send their value crashing.
To: mainepatsfan
He tried to ask too much then. He could have traded down if he wanted. This year’s #1 and someone’s #1 next year maybe?

If that proves to be the case then hopefully he’s hired a good financial adviser so he can invest that signing bonus.

I have to admit as a Cowboys fan I'm very dissapointed they took Pacman Jones. He's the antipathy of good character. Tom Landry used to demand good character in players (Roger Staubach as an example). I'm debating whether I should drop them as my team.

I think it’s more difficult to move out of the #1 spot when there’s not a player that is clearly head and shoulders above the others. Especially when there’s no star QB.
To: Man50D
I work with a guy who is a Cowboy fan and is ecstatic they got them. Then again he is also a West Virginia grad so that probably has something else to do with his love for PacMan.

BC has generated many an investment guy so he can thumb the employee directory.

I think Jake is a solid pick.

QBs, RTs or D-Line are what you look for and frankly the QB position is a bit over rated in my book. Mario Williams was panned as a #1 pick but he’s developing into a major beast on defense.

I'm not a West Virginia fan. They keep crushing my UConn Huskies!! Although they at least shared the Big East regular season crown with WV.

Herm Edwards lost one hell of a player in Jared Allen by trading him to the Vikes for the #17 pick. Allen was by far the best Defensive position player on the team. The best offensive is Tony Gonzalez. LJ has not met expectations. QB is inconsistent. OL is as open as a drain.
D Line was inproved but still pretty poor.
With 15 draft picks, the team sorely needs about everything. Herm Edwards better get his act together or he wont be around. And I think Carl Peterson should have been canned last year.
I have been a KC fan most of my life and last season was one of the most humiliating ever
