I'm not originally from Maine. I have lived in the lewiston-auburn area for about 17 years. And I've never been around a group of people that was so arrogant and so foolish as these folks are. They know it all, yet vote democrats into power who are clueless.
It's a shame too. I love the northern part of the state. Once you get out of central and southern Maine the people are great. It’s these left wingers in the central and southern part of the state that control everything.

I thought Maine was one of the 'good' States. Yankee work ethic, and all that...Two RINO senators, but certainly beats the two that we have in California.

That's true but Ellsworth, Bangor, Houlton and Presque Isle have a lot of liberal enclaves. The Ellsworth paper for example is openly anti-Israel and antisemitic and opposes tax reform as does the Bangor Bolshevik daily news. Washington county and some places in Waldo and Hancock counties however are very conservative.

It used to be but the economic decline and moon battery drove all the businesses with it the conservative base to New Hampshire. Most people here are Leftists from New York and Massachusetts come to leech of the welfare system.

exactly what I was thinking! These days video cameras are an absolute necessity. I never protest unless I got a camera or mobile phone with a camera. No one should.

Sounds like you guys have suffered a two pronged attack from Massholes and Vermonters. I got out of the Northeast 10 years ago and one of the intangibles I love about Carolina is that as long as you stay away from Chapel Hill, Durham , O.K. everywhere with a liberal university, there are fewer moonbats out here.

Say what? I have family in Houlton. I've been going there for 40 years on vacations. Heck, my Mom lives across the border in Woodstock. I've drank in Houlton bars, played softball there, done it all. My Uncle was on the Town Council for 20 years as a Democrat, and he was more conservative than GWB.

I guess what I'm saying is, I've never seen leftism in Aroostook County (except maybe at UMPI) unless you count residents on some form of public assistance.

If someone tried to torch an American flag in Court Square, people would line up to kick their ass.
