Senator Joseph McCarthy was a true hero. He died in infmay instead of exposing the VENONA secrets that would have vindicated him. He was a true patriot and a true hero - even JFK admired McCarthy and made no secret of that.
I’m no fan of JFK, but at least he truly hated communism. Why is he such an icon? Seems clear that he would be run out of the Dem party today.
