My boss and I had a discussion yesterday - I discovered he is a full-on left-leaning-supporter of BHO. He believes all that stuff - hope for the future - hates Bush. War wrong - Bush just went into Iraq to avenge his daddies death threat.
Arghhhh! We’re still friends and I still have a job - only because I put a meter on my mouth.
Man oh man.........That’s got to be hard to live with, Bear.
Don’t you look at your boss in a different light now?
Don’t you just hate when you find out somebody is a flaming liberal? Aack, and your boss to boot, snarlin. No, we aren’t on tour, lol. Just going for a little change of scenery, a trip out in the RV and to pick up daughter when she flies in.
Molly, it sounds like your mom has her mind made up on certain issues and I’m hoping that the antibiotics will be effective and healing will continue.
Much to do today, will check back later.
That’s got to be tough, Snarly. I guess I was lucky. I also had a lib for a boss, but he was not the kind whose politics were a collection of inane slogans. We were able to discuss issues civilly and remain friends. I retired 13 years ago, he a few year later. We have not kept in touch, but I’m confident we could still be friends.
It’s rough when it is your boss or anyone you have to see daily is the dupe.
My youngest continues to surprise me. She tells me of some of the discussions they’re having in her english course. They’re dissecting some current event stories. A little while back the primaries were discussed and it was mentioned that people were registering as RATS in record numbers. Well, she brought up the fact that many pubbies feel that since their nominee was chosen already, they’re crossing over to vote in the RAT primary to keep their fight going.
Talk about swooshing gasoline onto a fire (which is not a good thing to do - trust me)! The teacher got all huffy and declared “they can’t do that. Only RATS can vote in RAT primaries.” The youngest let her go on believing that.
Then, yesterday it was brought up that a Yale “art” student claims to have artificially inseminated herself and then aborted many times as part of her project. The student says she did and Yale says no she didn’t, she’s just saying she did as part of the project.
The teacher opined that Yale was the correct one. They’re the university and the official voice. The youngest pointed out that Yale has a vested interest in lying and there is really no way we can determine who is telling the truth. It is all a matter of faith. HA! My daughter loves blazes.
She comes out with the most conservative views w/o me prompting her and it is all because of Rush, FR and my involvement on ATRW. Y’all have taught this kid RIGHT!
