Which .22 automatic do you have? I have a little Ruger 22/45, and I love that little gun. A .22 isn't ideal for self-defense, but for shooting at the range, that's the one I'd pick if I could have only one. The ammunition is as cheap as ammunition will get, and they are robust little guns.

Even though I asked the question, I can't remember when I last visited a zoo. I went to the Knoxville Zoo in the early 90's. I went to the Oklahoma City Zoo around that time as well. Both of those were nice zoos.

I can't decide which of those luxuries I would enjoy the most. The horizon pool with the view would require less upkeep, and I'd love to live somewhere with that kind of view. Even if I never used the pool, I'd enjoy the view. Otherwise, I don't know whether I'd enjoy swimming in an Olympic pool or skating more. Either would be excellent exercise, and I could use the exercise.

The one we had was a loaner from hub’s boss. The clip was bent and I replaced it but then he wanted it back. I’m not sure what kind it was; it held 10 or 15 rounds. I really should buy another one, but they can’t be used to get your CHL so I’m undecided.

Yet, they are fun to shoot and I actually improved my accuracy at the range using one. I had a bad scare the first time I fired a gun, having been given a Glock and not expecting that it-fired-backward-into-my-chest feeling. Luckily, there was a 5-time int’l champ there who coaxed me into trying a .22 and ‘saved’ me from total gunfear.
