Singer Debbie Gibson filed for a restraining order Tuesday against a Spanish man who runs a fan club and has allegedly followed her on concert tours and showed up at her door.
Gibson asked that Bassas Jorge Puigdollers, 44, stay 100 yards away, not attempt to contact her by phone or e-mail, and stop attending her concerts, according to court documents filed in Superior Court.
The man, reached by phone in Spain, said he meant no harm.

The Bangles were a great group and had such great hits as "Manic Monday", and "Walk Like an Egyptian".
The Go-Go's also had some good songs such as "We Got the Beat" and "Vacation".
Watched an E! documentary on the Go-Go's and they were some heavy partiers(drug users), and it seemed the band hated Belinda Carlisle.

Dane,
The Go-Go’s is my favorite band. I try to see them every time they come to the DC area.
The girls had a bad relationship amongst each other in the early 80’s, but they’ve been now back together since 1990 without splitting up. Belinda turns 50 in August (Yikes!) and lives in France with her husband of over 22 years, Morgan Mason (a former Reagan admin. official - son of actor James Mason).... they have a son, Duke, who is a big Hillary supporter.
Charlotte Caffey, the lead songwriter & guitarist, is 55 and is married with a 15 y/o daughter.... Kathy Valentine, bassist, is 49 and married with a daughter as well.... Gina Schock (50) the drummer and Jane Wiedlin (50) rhythm guitarist, never married.
SO ALL OF OUR GO-GO’S ARE ALREADY IN THEIR 50’S! UNBELIEVABLE!

The Go=Go's had great music, much better than the crap we hear today.
Thank you for the update on their lives, it seems the bassist, is making the rounds on reality TV, and didn't the drummer have a heroin addiction.

Nah, the Bangles actually had talent, unlike Gibson and Tiffany. Their cover of Hazy Shade of Winter was kick-ass.

1988 was the hey day of Valley Girl mall singers, it was a much simpler time back then. Yeah, parents didn't have to shell out $2,500 to take their kids to see a teeny bopper pop star like today.

Debbie is the youngest person to ever write and produce a #1 hit, Foolish Beat. She was 16.
It’s a great song, IMO.
