Great news! The SCI FI Channel has announced that it has ordered a third season of all-new episodes of its most-watched show, Eureka. The new season is scheduled to debut on the channel in summer of 2008.
The 2007 Doctor Who Christmas Special - Voyage of the Damned - makes its premiere broadcast on the Sci-Fi Channel this Friday. The BBC was able to book pop star, Kylie Minogue to guest star in the episode. The Christmas Special is a copy of the Poseidon Adventure. A natural disaster strikes a carnival cruise in space and the Doctor tries to help passengers survive. A predictable episode with an underwritten villain who sounds like a bad copy of “Dr Evil”. The best part of “Voyage of the Damned” was the chemistry between David Tennant and Kylie Minogue. It seemed that Russell T Davies was so concerned about making Kylie Minogue look good that he forgot about closing up the plot holes in the story.
Overall, I give the “Voyage of the Damned” a grade of B-.
Yup. Final season. HOWEVER Sci-Fi has commissioned a two hour pilot called "Caprica", which is presumed to be a prequel series.
Fox is blasting off its new programming orders with Virtuality, a two-hour sci-fi pilot from BermanBraun and Battlestar Galactica's Ron Moore and Michael Taylor. The story follows 12 astronauts who are on a 10-year mission to find a distant solar system. They must be pretty bored up there, because they pass the time by hooking up to virtual reality modules — think Second Life, but you get sucked into the action. Good sci-fi trouble ensues when someone (perhaps a crew member?) hacks into the VR system and infects it with a virus.The concept came from Lloyd Braun, who, along with Gail Berman, pitched it to writers; Moore and Taylor turned out to be the perfect fit.
Fox boss/former Peacocker Kevin Reilly bought the program after NBC passed, saying, "Moore and Taylor have taken a complex concept and made it incredibly accessible."
Producers want to shoot Virtuality this summer with an eye on a February 2009 launch.

I haven't even watched this week's Torchwood yet. It's not quite as bad as Flash Gordon but it becomes a chore to watch. I don't know if the future Sara Janes will be as good as the first one but the first one was way better then most Torchwoods.
I’m really enjoying the show, Eli Stone. I guess you can consider it sci-fi due to him being able to predict the future. Light hearted and a fun show. Season finally is already coming up on Thurs. I think. Seems all the good shows get ya interested and then they are over for who knows how long.
I dunno, if you enjoy the character development part, and are annoyed by all the gay-themed parts, you’ll probably like this last episode... it’s pretty much all character backstories and setting up for the season finale.
She was the most human of the humans. In some ways the only likable character on the show.
Oh well.
Much better story lines this year.
Notice how evil the Cylon one who looks like Hillary’s lesbian lover has become? Muslim looking too!
The Cylon civil war is pretty rich though. They didn’t give us enough IMO.
She adds a nice wrinkle to things. We have not seen a truly evil character in some time who does what she does.
In season 3 I liked the occupation and rescue a whole lot but the show went flat after that. The Kara Thrace saga sucked as did the mystic elements of the season.
The Final Five seems a bit contrived though. Tigh as a Cylon? Too old to be credible.
