good stuff.
Amazing how they can pinpoint that beak while pounding those wings so fast.
Primoridal ooze is amazing, isn't it?

I have Anna’s hummingbird here in SoCal. A female has nested twice in the tree outside my window; one baby the first nest flew on Dec. 12, and two babies the second time (same nest) flew on March 10.
She showed up again 3 days ago; I believe she mated yesterday and has added soft plant material inside the nest.....

Mr G and I were just discussing how beautiful those pictures are.... and I realized the pictures are bigger than the birds are!
I just caught a glimpse of our first hummer this week. He was peeking in my window wondering why he wasn’t being fed yet! Today I got the feeder all cleaned up and filled. Unfortunately for them, the temperature will drop into the mid 30’s tonight!

Great pics! (nice camera). Have you ever watched a pair face-off and go into a vertical climb (while spinning slowly almost beak-to-beak) for about fifty feet? I’ve wondered what that means.

Now that is really something, Lawd I love your hummer pictures, I bet the hummers come clear across state just to eat and have you photograph them.

Once again, beautiful pics! Thanks so much for sharing them with us.
We spent three hours standing in 30 degree weather with snow coming down at a tax cut rally at our capital in St. Paul yesterday. Brrrr!
Now you have me really craving the warm weather and the return of the hummers. :)
