My first thought when I saw this word was that there might be a lot of earworms inspired by Styx lyrics on this thread today. Here are a few that I can hear in my head right now:

Oh mama I’m in fear for my life from the long arm of the law.
Lawman has put an end to my running and I’m so far from my home.
Oh mama I can hear you a crying, your so scared and all alone.
Hangman is coming down from the gallows and I don’t have very long.

Here’s another good one:

Too much time on my hands, it’s ticking away with my sanity
I’ve got too much time on my hands, it’s hard to believe such a calamity
I’ve got too much time on my hands and it’s ticking away from me
Too much time on my hands, too much time on my hands
Too much time on my hands

Oh, and here’s another good one:

You see the world through your cynical eyes
You’re a troubled young man I can tell
You’ve got it all in the palm of your hand
But your hand’s wet with sweat
And your head needs a rest
And you’re fooling yourself if you don’t believe it
Why must you be such an angry young man
When your future looks quite bright to me
And how can there be such a sinister plan
That could hide such a lamb
Such a caring young man
And you’re fooling yourself if you don’t believe it
You’re killing yourself if you don’t believe it
Get up, get back on your feet
You’re the one they can’t beat and you know it
Come on let’s see what you’ve got
Just take your best shot and don’t blow it.

Thanks for all the good Styx earworms-”Renegade” is my favorite Styx song. I heard this on the way home and have been humming it-

In the shuffling madness
Of the locomotive breath,
Runs the all-time loser,
Headlong to his death.
He feels the piston scraping
Steam breaking on his brow
Thank God, he stole the handle and
The train won’t stop going
No way to slow down.

He sees his children jumping off
At the stations one by one.
His woman and his best friend
In bed and having fun.
He’s crawling down the corridor
On his hands and knees
Old Charlie stole the handle and
The train won’t stop going
No way to slow down.

He hears the silence howling
Catches angels as they fall.
And the all-time winner
Has got him by the balls.
He picks up Gideon’s Bible
Open at page one
God stole the handle and
The train won’t stop going
No way to slow down.
