To: Jim Robinson

Jim, I hate to ask this, but why are you in a wheelchair? You say you have feeling in your legs but it seems to me that your legs are basically immobile. Would bed rest help? How about manual manipulation of your legs to help with circulation?

Sorry to seem so ignorant after being on FR for so long.

BTW, your own FR personal page is woefully lacking.

I’m in a wheelchair due to muscular dystrophy. Lost my ability to walk about 10 years ago. Lost the ability to stand up for transferring about three years ago. Haven’t slept in my bed for three or four months. Too painful. I just sleep in my chair. Have ordered an electric recliner and hoping I’ll be able to sleep in it. I also have a little table on wheels I can use to put my laptop on and hopefully I’ll be able to work while sitting in the recliner. Then I can elevate my legs more often to fight the swelling.
