I just finished reading a nice new book “McQueen’s Machines” by Matt Stone with assistance from Steve’s son Chad. There are brief descriptions of all the vehicles McQueen drove in movies, with a fair number of still photos, and extensive documentation on later histories (most are still in existence). The beach buggy in The Thomas Crown Affair was basically a Meyers Manx with hopped-up Corvair engine. Of course Steve himself did all the driving and Faye Dunaway herself did all the death-seat duty. And don’t forget Tommy Crown’s Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow. Like nearly car and bike he drove in films, McQueen wound up owning both of them at least briefly.

Sorry, I was really punped they were going to do a sequel.

In all seriousness, Jason Statham is one cool dude!

Not on the above list is the sequel to Transformers, which just started filming.

I take it the cure for what Statham was injected with in Crank is to fall out of a helicopter? I guess when you have already taken so many liberties with reality in the first one, bringing your lead back from the dead for the sequel is small potatoes.

I am looking for the following sequels:

"The Passion of the Christ 2": He's back and not turning the other cheek anymore!

"The Fountainhead 2": Howard Roark travels the world, blowing up anything ever created by Frank Gehry.

The Brazilian Job:

I hear the chase scenes aren't nearly as hairy as the Italian Job.

The Untouchables: Capone Rising: A prequel to Brian De Palma’s cracking prohibition thriller of, er, twenty years ago. De Palma is back behind the camera, and the project is in the pre-production stages now.

Will this film beat the $70,000 draw of his LAST film?

A remake of the movie, “The Day Of The Dead,” should be out soon as well. But it’ll have a different plot than the first version.

The second Toy Story was far better than the first, so I am hoping the third will follow the trend.

I wouldn't mind follow-ups to The Incredibles and A Bug's Life. I'm totally hooked on the Pixar flicks.

I too am looking forward to some of these, especially Night at the Museum, National Treasure (altho I haven't seen the second one yet), I liked Cars so did my Mom. My Grandfather had a Hudson Hornet, when she saw that, she cried. I'm especially looking forward to The Mummy, but for Gods sake get rid of the kid! He was annoying as all get out.

The problem with far too many sequels is that nobody bothers asking "why should we make a sequel" other than "the first movie made a butt-load of money!" There needs to be a reason to actually want to see a sequel. A Pixar movie I'd LOVE to see a sequel to would be "Monsters, Inc." Maybe with Boo all grown up, where Sully and Mike meet Boo's child.

Cars 2: We spotted this on AintItCool – is Pixar really looking to make a sequel to its weakest film? Apparently so…

I don't get this. Cars is the movie that I have to talk my kids out of seeing every time they get DVD privs. Maybe they're talking from a revenue standpoint, but in that case they probably haven't looked at the merchandising angle.
