I wasn’t watching the big screen at the moment of the wreck because I was following the 88 car as they were pushing down pitroad. Suddenly I heard the whole place start screaming, turned around to catch him as he started flipping. We couldn’t see him on the track because he was past turn 1 but they continued to show that on the big screen. By that time I had walked up to where Smoke was standing and he just kept shaking his head. Everyone was just kind of standing there with their mouths agape until we saw him climb from the car. He certainly was wobbly but my gosh, the fact that he wasn’t hurt was a miracle.

I can’t tell you how much fun I’ve had the past two days. Being in the pit area is what it’s all about. I still think my pores are exuding exhaust fumes. I have a lot of respect for all these crews as they are in it every week and they work darn hard. They were at it all day yesterday.

I wish I could have seen Tony Eury Jr yesterday after Jr’s run, I would have loved to give him a big hug.

In July I’m hoping to see myself on the Shifting Gears show. I just couldn’t believe I was so lucky they came to interview me. It was right before qualifying began, I was standing there with two other girls from Infield Parking and they came over and asked if they could talk to us. When they said they were from Jr’s show I went OMG, you guys have done such great work on that show, I would love to tell you why we all love Jr so much. :D
