...in the course of trying to force OOXML through the ISO fast-track process, it has finally gone further and attacked the system itself; in the process it has destroyed the credibility of the ISO, with serious knock-on consequences for the whole concept of open standards.

Would you be kind enough to translate that for us who use MS Windows XP, MS Office applications and who surf the web using an MS browser?

My problem with Microsoft isn’t the alleged industry monopolization accused by the corrupt and degenerate Bill and Shillary Klinton cabal, but Microsoft’s tendency to reject hard working native born American programmers and software engineers and outsource these jobs and supporting industries to third world countries for cheap labor and lobbying Congress for massively increasing H-1B visas in order to insource even more foreign labor while complaining that there are not enough skilled Americans to fill those jobs. BS. Having worked with programmers and software engineers whose jobs have been gutted and shipped abroad by the kind of outsourcing Microsoft is famous for, I would expect Microsoft products to at least compensate for this betrayal of the American worker by being cheaper and more reliable since capital expenditures, taxes, salaries, regulations, and overhead have been drastically reduced and more money can be spent on quality development.

However, the operation of Microsoft Vista, the Edsel of operating systems which by the way nobody clamoured for, it is easy to see the fingerprints of bare bones software engineering done by throngs of third world programmers living in Microsoft funded company dormitories, not the user friendly interface, reliable and compatible products loyal Microsoft customers have not only come to trust but invest millions of dollars in setting as their corporate industry standard only to be abandoned and ignored. Vista is responsible for more Windows users either switching from Microsoft Windows based systems to Macs or back to XP. I guess Gate’s desire to save money exceeded the desire to provide a quality product.
