Thanks for the ping and links Molly, I was just reading the Barone piece a few minutes ago.
Here's a very good article, well worth the read that I'll pass on the the thread:
The mustard seed in global strategy Magdi Allam, recent Christian convert
I add my nighttime worries and insomnia to those who report the same. Daughter is returning from Europe in a month, will be seeking employment. I'm hoping she can get her foot back in the door on that front as easily as she seems to think she can after being gone since graduation.
Prayers for all who need them, myself included. Good morning everybody.

pb, I think she will be in great demand. Her education and experience will give her a leg up over other candidate's. Just remember that timing is everything in the education market. If she is trying to get into the public schools, there are two approaches I have seen work. The first one is go to every "job fair" in the district(s) where she wants to work or if that 's not possible, go to every school where she want ot work and: a) personally introduce herself while trying to get an interview, b) make herself known (in other words), and c) go back or keep in phone touch to let someone know she is still interested. Of course, having all of the required paperwork in hand helps too.
Another thing, if your daughter begins her career teaching in a private school or private parochial school, she will be able to count that as teaching experience with a contract. HOB
