My tragus’ are pierced - small, captive bead rings. I LOVE them and aside from my wedding rocks, er...rings, they’re pretty much the only jewelry I ever wear.

When I had to have an emergency C-section, the nurses insisted they come out as I was prepped for surgery. So, my husband tried. The nurses tried. I tried. Lather, rinse, repeat. Finally, my husband ran down to the car and got a pair of needle nose pliers from his tool kit. Eventually, they came out - but it delayed the C-section - which, if it was that big of an emergency like they claimed, the rings should have been a low priority. Getting them out was worse than the epidural.

I wonder how big this woman’s rings were for forced removal. Seems a bit odd to me. And with some rings, removal is really difficult - as is getting them back in later.

I’m curious. Why would a tragus ring need to come out for a C-section. Sounds like they were planning a very unusual location for the incision.

Try searching on “Prince Albert piercing.”

Excuse me while I duck and cover.

Ah those piercings again. I just don’t understand it. -—and to think of all the places people get pierced-—ouch!

I don't know 'first hand' but a woman told me that she got one of those idiot things thinking it would 'heighten' her sensation -- she said she was very sensitive there and she enjoyed it.

Instead, she lost all sensation. They must have blocked or severed an nerve. She said she has no feeling there now.

IMHO, piercings and tattos are idiotic and why any woman would even consider it is beyond me.

I hate fads.

I’ll explain the fascination with piercings and tattoos. There are a few exceptions, but for the most part this is a trend that allows people with no discernable talent to draw attention to themselves.

Kinda like some folks who want to be President.

I know! That’s what we asked when they insisted. It made no sense. I “get” not wearing any jewelry during surgery, but not semi-permanent jewelry. Anyway, the incision was no where near my ears. LOL

On Chris Plante’s show he played this sound bite over and over.

Gloria Allred: “The last time that I checked a nipple was not a dangerous weapon.”

I beg to differ...
