I have said (I’m not a complete ‘gun freak’) I want them available to me, but I am not that knowledgeable...But, it some a##hole comes to my front door, I’d love to see the look on his face when I pump the shotgun I have in my hand...However, this handgun just gives me shivers...can’t help it.

Dittos, sig.
Dooder, watch out for the recoil. Your hands/wrists could take a pounding. There are many great personal defense sidearms available that would comfortably fit you. Just ask. FR has a lot of really experienced people that will help.

If your concern is defence when in a car, get one of
these. It's a car hijackers nightmare.

I’m a 5’4” and I’d prefer an H&K Mark 23, with threaded barrel, and suppressor.

Loaded with 000 Buck it is my choice when there is a noise at night. I guess OOO buck makes more sense than OO which just seemed rather silly (why use a 0.3" ball in a 0.41" barrel?) but I wonder why nobody's come up with interesting 28ga shotguns with a fixed choke to 0.498"? I'm not sure the BATF would call a barrel with a fixed choke "rifled", so such guns might be limited by the 18"/26" restriction, but keeping the bore below 0.5" would avoid the "sporting purposes" restriction. I would think a bull-pup semi-auto shotgun could be configured to allow reasonably effective point-shooting from the hip (use stock adjustments to match point of aim to the shooter's expectation) while possessing excellent retention characteristics (only 6" or so in front of the grip, while a "fork" would be cradled in the shooter's forearm).

Taurus revolvers are great. I've got one of these myself,
a Taurus Tracker in 41 Mag. The Taurus rubber grip design is great. I have some ultra hot Corbon hunting loads and it really helps with the recoil. I imagine the 410s are a handful.
