If I heard Simon right he basically said the song choice and performance were unremarkable and not worth comment.... sorry Brooke. I didn't liek it either. Very little to impress tonight.

David C. was really mad that he didnt get his usual rave reviews. Well, thats show biz, kid. Next time, concentrate more on picking a good song and less on writing "Give Back" on your hand. That was shallow and dumb.

OMG. Ewan McGregor AND Hugh Jackman in the same movie????
I think I had a dream like that once.
(I’m going to hit abuse on myself for that one)

That was my thought about two weeks ago (DC needing to be knocked down a peg)...after seeing him in person last week, I’m thinking it might be two pegs...in some ways, he was my biggest disappointment after seeing them live. I really wanted my impressions of him to be wrong and it just coming across wrong on TV, and in person I thought it to be even worse. :-(
Besides, you know the judges are glad...they needed a week to give him a hard time, just like with Brooke last week. Carly and David A both had their weeks early on...better for the judges that DC kind of earned himself it and they didn’t have to have a feign hearing something the viewers didn’t just to make him look less pre-ordained...especially after the LKL show that pretty much said it was David v David for the finale.

Lythgoe’s referring to how last year’s special included the tease of a potential regular elimination before the not-so-stunning revelation that the following week would include a double-elimination. Instead, Wednesday’s show will be all about charity and FOX will get a special bonus hour of Idol on Thursday when the show will cut down to seven contestants. Did the producers think of working some competitive aspect of the show into Idol Gives Back just as a carrot to fans who might otherwise skip a telethon?

They dont seem to realize we watch this show as an escape from our crappy lives, not to be reminded of other peoples crappy lives. LOL

Do they eliminate tomorrow? Last year they didnt. They planned it out a little better this year. We get three nights of Idol this week, with the results show being on Thursday.

Syesha sings Fantasia. In what universe does that work? ZZZZZzzzzzI think she only knows three singers: Whitney, Mariah and Fantasia. Anyone else is foreign to her.

While I recall playing Tapestry a lot, it took a backseat to Joni Mitchell's Court and Spark.

Is anyone watching this stupid show on CBS: Secret Talents of the Stars?
It's like a celebrity version of Idol.
They even have three cookie-cutter Idol judges: Brian McNight (the black musician), Debbie Reynolds (the past her prime diva) and Gavin Palvone (sp?) (the snooty Hollywood producer)

I really enjoyed tonight’s show! Simon and Randy were kinda harsh tonight. I hate to say it but Cook(who I like the most) was one of the weakest tonight. :( Overall pretty good. Thanks for the thread jonny.
