There's the infamous 800B0100 install error for which Microsoft has released no fix. On certain brands of computers, its impossible to install SP 1. It just won't install. Thanks for nothing, Microsoft!

One also has to hide a previously installed update for SP 1 to show up in Windows Update. Even if it does, it probably won't install.

If MS had spent half the time trying to come up with a stable, easily refreshable, and understandable general driver interface as they spent on DRM then there might be some potential.
IMHO, they should just stay out of the whole business and say “Hey, it’s a content problem. Don’t look at me”
It’s about the equivalent of buying a new car and finding out it’s been programmed to NOT allow you to drive to the nearest cathouse or something.

Having had four HP computers and starting from the ground up,first was 8 megabytes and 75 ram,to the one I have now running,I am seriously looking for something more compatible with what I use. Mac and such is looking more appealing nowdays.Thanks for the tip.Later,xarmydog
