The 18th annual Better Government Competition is focused on education — specifically, identifying ideas and programs that decrease drop-out rates, increase graduation rates, increase attendance rates, improve student performance, and make the schools safer.

DEADLINE: To be considered for a 2008 Better Government Competition award, all applications must be postmarked or e-mailed by April 7, 2008.

This was passed around via email. All I've found out about this group is (1) they help to form public policy for education in Massachusetts, and (2) please don't confuse them with other groups using the name "Pioneer". The competition is open to anyone including people outside Massachusetts.
