As Carrie in 'Sex and the City' she might not always get the right man. And being voted "unsexiest woman alive" was a hard pill to swallow.

But in real life actress Sarah Jessica Parker hasn't gone home totally empty-handed, having raked in an estimated £12.5m since the end of the popular TV series.

But Parker, 43, has had a hard time dealing with the news that men do not find her as attractive as advertisers do, claiming the result of the Maxim poll was "brutal" and also affected her husband, actor Matthew Broderick.

Sarah’s problem is that she has wanted to be fashion cover beautiful too much, and put herself out there in places where she would be compared to the most beautiful women in the world.

I’m sure she is nice and talented and all, and she’s tiny thin, but she does not have a classic pretty face by any means. However, she is constantly made up and dressed “as if she is.” So is every other well-bred woman in the world, and no one is going to vote your Aunt Judith the most unsexy woman. She’s just living her life quietly.

But Miss Parker is putting her normal unpretty face on GIANT ads for perfumes called things like Beautiful. She has set herself up for this. I have no sympathy.

To me, she is beautiful. Okay, I like "character". And a great body. She's got both. Matt Broderick is a lucky guy. I wish I could extend my sympathies to them both for the mean-spirited vote, probably from people who think Brittney Spears is the pinnacle of hotcha.

I'm a dame so take it for what it's worth, but no--I do not think those pictures of Hilton are sexy. I can't separate her from her well-deserved skank persona.

FWIW, I can't think of a single male celebrity, known for "playing the field," as sexy. Charlie Sheen, that foreign actor from That 70s Show, that whole crowd of himbos that run loose with Hilton et al...nasty. Looks don't count for much if you are only able to visualize all of the microbes infesting a particular host.
