Yeah, I think there are MANY gay songs that they left off. It’s an Australian list, so they probably have more gay Aussie stuff on there than we would.

No list is ever perfect.

“Relax” isn’t a gay song. I admit the one music vid for it is pretty gay though.

Pretty much everything else on that list is though.

I can say, not a single one of those listed is among the 851 songs on my iPod.

My older brother played drums on a couple country albums by Chip Taylor who also wrote “Wild Thing” and “Try (Just a Little
Bit Harder)”. He is actually actor Jon Voight’s brother
(real name James Voight)

I dunno...

Relax don’t do it
When you want to suck to it
Relax don’t do it
When you want to come
Come-oh oh oh

26. Tim Curry “Sweet Transvestite”

C'mon! That should have been in the top 10!

40. Wham “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go”

Grossly under-rated. Easy top 10 material.

Now why is “Over the Rainbow” considered gay? It is a lovely song.

Used as the theme song for “Men on Film” in In Living Color

>>Men on Film (Damon Wayans and David Alan Grier) - In this parody of Siskel & Ebert, a pair of extremely effeminate gay men, Blaine Edwards and Antoine Merriweather, review films completely based on their potential for homoerotic content. Variations of this sketch include Men on Television, Men on Fitness, Men on Vacation, Men on Art, Men on Football and Men on Men. It was the source of many popular catchphrases such as, “Hated It!”, “Fish!”, “My second favorite form of liquid protein”, “Three words - fa - bu - lous!”

Oh, yeah. That song used to send me into convulsions when I was a teenager. Always needed some Metallica or Scorpions to counteract it.

As explained elsewhere in the thread, it’s loved by the gays. They LOVE Judy Garland.

“Relax” isn’t a gay song.

Are you kidding? That song should be at the very top of the list. It screams gayness with a megaphone. A jet-powered megaphone.

1. ABBA, "Dancing Queen"

This is what I think of...this scene from Winter Sonata. It's funny/cute!

BYJ Winter Sonata "Dancing Queen"

I agree. A lot of these songs are not gay. THis is sort of like the movement to paint Abe Lincoln as gay.

The gays are appropriating our songs and convincing people they are gay.

Its been said that Over the Rainbow is the gay national anthem but they forgot one song that is up there real close-
Where the Boys Are by Connie Francis.
She was at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco last year and blew the roof off the place when she sang it.
So to speak.

“Was that Juice Newton?”

Newton’s version sucked. Merilee Rush released it during the late 60’s. Hers was the definitive version.

The Pretenders released an interesting version in 1995.
