SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) It doesn't snow often in Louisiana but light snow was a possibility in forecasts for parts of the state.
Northwest Louisiana was under a winter weather advisory from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, with National Weather Service forecasters saying the area could see snow and sleet that would make travel difficult.

I'm in South Central Louisiana, about 20 miles from the gulf...we've had some very light flurries last night. Forecasters were saying it's going to start sticking north of here later in the day, and we're supposed to get down to freezing tonight.
I don't think the mosquitoes are going to like this.....

Light sonw isn’t so bad. It is the dark snow that is really disorienting.

Why hasn’t the Corp of Engineers built a snow levee? It’s that racist Bush’s fault. Flee to Houston!

'It's the winter from Hell'
The above is the Yahoo news headline for a Canadian Press article on the forecast for more severe winter weather.
Strangely enough -- not a word about global warming.

I’m thinking that too many people have bought carbon credits and the pendulum has swung the other way...if they don’t stop selling them, we’re all going to freeze to death!
