PLEASE don't just erase this thread; after all, I'm now just finding out another problem here - I can't start a thread but from the "Home" page, and it always assumes you're posting to "News/Activism". So there is no way I can go to Bloggers/Personal as I had intended, apparently.
So there's 1 problem and question - what happened there?
And what happened that some things have changed - including, I can't seem to get the various "forums" to show me latest posts as opposed to whole threads? (This was a question the other day right when things changed; should've pinged it because I can't find it now to see if questions are answered.) That's another problem - where is a forum for technical problems and questions? As it is, I can't think of alot of words for "problems" as Key Words to try to bring up other relevant threads, instead of making my own. So forgive me if this is repetitive.
Good luck.

Teasers (also known as lead-ins) are short 100 word excerpts displayed on thread listings. Do you wish to see teasers?
Yes
I started a thread just like this one yesterday. I think the developers need to put something on the homepage or a warning on each thread about the changes to the site. It’s not really all that great a user experience.
Looks like it works BRIEFLY, but does not DEFAULT to that as doing it on the Home page *used to*.
The posting function has been changed, and I guess people will catch on to that.
What bugs me is that if you click on a story over on the right, under Breaking News, etc., it opens in the same full screen window instead of a smaller, slaved daughter window.
That is a PITA. I still get the daughter window if I click on an article in the main part of the page, which is how I have set it in Preferences for many years, but the daughter window option when clicking on an article on the right side of the page has been BROKEN. And there’s no way to change it, apparently.

I’m aware it’s been up, but how the heck am I supposed to know what “keywords” are being used (that is a general gripe with FR; 1 of many) to find them?
If there is a way of doing this now, please let me know.
Search is indeed your friend, but it’s hard to figure out what folks would use as a title for their threads. For instance my title was “Latest Posts”.
Ah, thank you. That makes sense; just not used to that possibility.
Sorry to gripe, but FR is never a great “user experience”. It’s never been very user-friendly. I finally learned by osmosis how to navigate basically, until this happened. Guess I’ll have to do it again. (e.g., why is it when you go to a “state-page announcements” page, there was NO way to just click back to regular FR, even to the FR Home page? That’s ridiculous.)
You’re correct that there should be a block on the Home page at least to tell us about these things - since you can’t really find a “technical” page anywhere easily!
Why has FR become leftist politically correct ?What is wrong with Lew Rockwell ?
I was just teasing ... y’all are taking this stuff way too seriously. ;-)
Thank you. I was lost.
I know, you did say “IF you can find it”! ;-)
I kind of take it seriously because as I already stated, FR has never been very user-friendly! And it’s irritating!
I e-mailed Tech support and they said the problem seems to exist between the keyboard and the chair?
What ever that means !!! LOL
