This may take some time. Once finished, remove the XP pro cd from the drive and reboot the machine.

It is running a ckeck diskIt is important to note any fixes it performs. It is likewise important to note if it requires a reboot. If it completes without fixes, then the problem is not the hard drive or file tables.
