I don't recall so many local newscasters being on scene. It looks like the entire on-air crew of KABC is there. And 'tween you and me, I was hoping it would be pouring down rain.

SUNDAY 3 PM Pacific Time: Above is a celebrity stand-in during Red Carpet rehearsals for the 80th Academy Awards telecast Sunday (photo by Jonathan Alcorn). Now the real Red Carpet arrivals are starting. I hear that ABC dramatically lowered expectations about tonight’s ratings to advertisers. A London source tells me that the BBC did a call in on the Oscars and no one phoned. Even Hollywood interest in the show is at its lowest point in recent memory. This may be the 80th Academy Awards, but they’re really the 11th hour Oscars — because not only were they almost picketed by the writers strike, and put together with only 13 days of major preparations instead of the usual months and months, but also the endless ceremony always seems like it lasts 11 hours.
Seth Rogan. He was in Knocked Up last year with Katherine Heigl (Grey’s Anatomy).
It was actually a very funny movie.
Angelina’s pregnant again, so maybe they won’t
Nominee for Best Actor ("Michael Clayton") George Clooney arrives with girlfriend Sarah Larson
How much BDS this time? How much Republican Party bashing this time? How much “conservatism” bashing this time? Will John McCain get bashed tonight? Will Barack Obama, the Democratic Party, certain Democratic Party leaders, and/or Hillary Clinton be praised “big time”, and by how much? Will Hillary Clinton also be bashed tonight? What “political causes” will truly be shoved down all of our throats this time?
His hair looks good, Maggie. When he was in ER I thought he wore a toupee, but that's a real part in his hair, isn't it?
British actor Daniel Day-Lewis, right, nominated for an Oscar for best actor in a leading role for his work in 'There Will Be Blood,' and his wife, Rebecca Miller
