I think you left them on lay-away.
Honestly.. I have seen a evaluation of a female Airman with this kind of line in a USAF Enlisted Performance Report back in the early 90’s. and written by a attached RAF Senior NCO no less. The Airman complained and it was eventually removed.. but the line is a good one.
