I never saw Firefly when it was on Fox as a series, but my son dragged me to see the movie Serenity. It was the most unusual yet entertaining show I have seen in many years. The characters were outstanding. The story was inventive. The dialog was hilarious. A space western, who could have imagined it would be so good. Too bad Fox had to pull the trigger so quickly.

Yes they pulled the plug too early on Space above and Beyond as well.
The series felt like a feature movie with every episode.
